Race Practice for VRG and BMW Club Races

Welcome to Trackmasters' season finale event at the world famous Watkins Glen International race circuit.  2026 is the fourth year that Trackmasters has hosted the BMWCCA Club Racing School, and also  coordinating with BMW Club Racing and Vintage Racing Group to provide multiple practice time sessions before their Watkins Glen Race Weekend.   Drivers for the BMW Club Race and VRG event at Watkins Glen Sept 25-28 have a few options to get some practice time prior to the race:

• One hour in Trackmasters' Open Track with other racers on Thursday, Sept 24.   This will be at the end of the day.   
• One Day of Open Track.  Drivers will get 4-1/2 to 5 hrs of available track time, on Thursday Sept 24
• Two Days of Open Track, 4-1/2 to 5 hrs per day, on Sept 23 and 24.

Trackmasters' Open Track format maintains HPDE on-track protocols, but with relaxed point-by rules.  Passing is expected anywhere and everywhere on track, with a point-by required in and before turns but is not required on the straights.   This allows for good traffic flow even with the speed differentials of the different race categories on track, while maintaining safety standards.

We normally require anyone new to Trackmasters to undergo vetting and a check-out ride before allowing them to drive in Open Track, but this requirement is being waived for registered drivers in the weekend race.  Please provide your competition license number upon registration.
