July HPDE with Trackmasters

Watkins Glen International

About this event

Welcome to Trackmasters' July 2026 HPDE event at the world-famous Watkins Glen International Raceway.

This HPDE Event registration page is for Novice and Intermediate drivers. If you are an Advanced Driver, please click here to sign up through our July Open Track registration page

Over the past 30 years, Trackmasters has built a loyal following of professionals, semi-professionals, and track-driving enthusiasts. We are a private club, with an emphasis on creating the best possible on-track experience for our customers. For Novice and Intermediate drivers, we limit registration to 25 cars per run group – half the car density you’ll see with many other organizers at Watkins Glen. That means more clean laps, less frustration, and safer events.

We take driver development seriously, and see our role as helping a driver advance to our Open Track events. We provide complimentary, in-car instructors for novices and, upon request, complimentary access to advanced coaches for intermediates.

Get ready for a truly differentiated track experience. If you have questions, let us know. Events tend to sell out, so register today!

Intermediate and Novice HPDE Format

Intermediate and Novice drivers each get four dedicated sessions on track each day and appropriate coaching or instruction commensurate with experience.   Intermediates get a fifth session at the end of the day sharing the track with our Advanced run group.

Intermediate DE Program

The Intermediate DE Program is designed to progress the intermediate driver over multiple events in order to qualify for Open Track. Drivers in this group run solo, but have access to our Advanced Coaches for in-car and data coaching. Additionally, we conduct an Intermediate Instructional classroom program, covering the physics of advanced high-performance driving and car set up.

Trackmasters’ Intermediate group encompasses a wide range of drivers with varied experience, including:

  • The driver with dozens of track days behind them, much of it solo. This driver is typically adding seat time while they improve their situational awareness and gradually explore the performance limits of their car. Coaching for these drivers is available upon request.
  • The driver with years of experience in DE, even qualified for Trackmasters’ Open Track, but maybe not familiar with Watkins Glen and wants access to coaches with deep track knowledge
  • The driver with years of experience that prefers a run group populated with few cars and/or lower-power cars.

Novice DE Program

The Novice DE Program is for drivers early in their HPDE journey. This group is not just for those with little or no previous experience. It is also for the driver early in their DE career, who has reached the point where they can move their car around the track safely at a good pace and have even been cleared to solo, but is still working on core skills and technique, such as late braking or carrying momentum through the corners. Our Novice Group is for drivers that still value some in-car coaching to continue their development.

Most novice drivers will be paired with an in-car instructor for all or most of both days. Novice drivers with more experience can be cleared to drive solo after a checkout ride. Additionally, there are several classroom sessions covering basic skills and theory of high-performance driving, as well as the specifics of driving Watkins Glen.

Drivers that have previously been cleared to drive solo with Trackmasters may continue to do so. If you would like to have an instructor assigned for some or all of your days, to assist in progressing to Intermediate, please let us know in advance.
